I’ve been hearing a lot lately about the extensive damage caused by Hurricane Odile across Baja California, especially the affect it had on the popular destination of Cabo San Lucas. This has been one of my favorite places to visit during the past couple years and I love going in the middle of winter. I am so sad to hear that the people and places who work to make Cabo such an inviting oasis have encountered an unexpected struggle. It seems that the travelers who go to Cabo are very loyal and I have faith that the tourist economy will remain strong. I know I can’t wait to get back!
A lot of people go to Cabo just to party. That is not my style. I use my time there to get a healthy rest and take part in all the awesome activities (not that I’m against some margarita breaks)! I am all about active vacations. I love sitting on the beach but I can only do it for so long! Here are my favorite ways to stay active in Cabo so that you feel rested and healthy when you come back from vacation!
Kayaking on the Sea of Cortez. This is super easy and you might even see some whales!

Horseback riding on the beach. Some ranches have Archery practice while you wait!
Long walks on the beach (Duh)
